  1. You’re sure getting a lot of video mileage out of this one tea! I’m looking forward to the next episode where you empty the gaiwan and then take the leaves out to the garbage can :=)

  2. I received a sample of this and have had one session with it, with a terrifying outcome: nothing! Nothing interesting on the palate, in the nose, or on the mental level! Maybe it has blown out my receptors, I am deactivated. I will try again tomorrow.

    • Hi Marco,

Thanks for sharing the experience! From what I’ve heard from others, your initial session isn’t at all atypical. The charms of the tea can be a challenge to grasp and are probably not for everyone.. I hope you have enough for another try or two. I think this tea benefits from having a couple sessions within a week or so.

      Cheers,
      -James

      • Thanks for the hint. Interesting that it may take a few sessions — I am nine steeps through my second session and it is the same as before: ambiguous/unclear mental/body reaction, but more strangely, no feeling of returning sweetness at all, and extremely minimal juiciness. I will persist until my 50g are depleted and then do a thorough write-up — who knows, maybe the sample bags got switched…

        • Sounds like a very different experience. Throatiness? Have you tried the Bosch before. I’d be curious to hear how you compare the two, esp. if you got a better take from the Bosch.

I had one session with a friend with the LT and I was two cups in, looked at him and said “this is the shit.” He looked at me confused and underwhelmed..
