Hi James, would you mind explaining further what that means for a tea to be commissioned? Does that mean some 3rd party requested it vs the company (govt) deciding to make it? I’m not familiar with the term Dayi so any words on that welcome.
Good question. It just means that it wasn’t an official Dayi production. Likely done by a small factory, trying to imitate the popular 7542 recipe. How close it actually is? Hard to say.
I now agree that lesser quality young raw puerh may upset your stomach. I drank a high quality 2015 puerh all day long yesterday (and medium quality most everyday (ie, $.25/g)) with no problems. I drank a little low quality raw today, and it upset my stomach. Of course this is all anecdotal, but I think I’m going to steer clear of the cheap young stuff! Maybe Jame’s axiom about this is correct.
Thanks for chiming in Charlie and I understand your dilemma. I’ve lived in perpetual fear of my stomach giving out in some of my young pu tastings. Last Thoughts or bust, right?

Do you own any Shou???
I own shu, but rarely drink it. Sits on the sideline enough that I’ve suspended all future purchases of it.
