Thanks for the review guys. This brings back memories as I picked up a sample way back in 2011. The Yiwu regional style was there, making this tea very soft and approachable. Interestingly I dont recall this tea being bitter at all back in those early years, just a straightforward light, mildly sweet, green vibe profile. Furthermore I have a tendency to be heavy handed with my brewing. Being a pleasant and simple tea it was easy to drink but drinking too much and I remembered feeling discomfort in my stomach such is my reaction to most young puerh nowadays.
Thanks Varat. I first tried this tea when it had a couple years under it in 2014 or 2015. This tea has developed interestingly. I’m not sure if it is how I brewed it, but it was quite potent in this episode.
I have tried raw puerh with friends who like Scotch Whiskey. I think the styles are similar but haven’t had much success convincing my friends.
Thanks for sharing Dr. Jim. I’ve also had mixed results on the alcohol comparison. Some friends do love it though.
