Episode 60 covers the 2006 Wild Peacock sold by Essence of Tea. Cleanly matured in southern China this is a soft, smooth, sweet, and very pleasant tea for the price.

Was wondering when you would break off from yqh. Lol…. I enjoy this tea… Ordered two, and David sent me one of each, the stone compressed and machine pressed.
Yep. This is a great one for daily consumption. Good quality and you really can’t complain about the price.
Cheers,
-James
Emmett,
How would you compare the the machine pressed to the stone pressed? I can only imagine the machine pressed will age more slowly and, as James noted, have slightly more bitterness.
Theo
Hi Theo,
I’m not Emmett. But having had a few iron cakes and comparing them to their stone pressed cousins I think your assumption is likely correct.
Cheers,
-James
Great review James. For the price I don’t think anyone will be disappointed with this tea. Now if the 2003 would just come back in stock……..
Aha :(. From what I hear we may be out of luck there.
