Traditionally stored in HK, this is a very nice example of traditionally stored sheng courtesy of Varat. Thanks!

  1. Glad to see you enjoying this. Drinking this kind of tea also takes me back to HK reminiscing of the good times. I have a soft spot for traditionally stored puerh tea. It is a comfort food (or comfort tea) for me in many ways. If you happen to be looking for younger wet stored puerh tea for storage I would advise high potency as being one really important requirement. The effects of wet storage and the subsequent years of aging will exhaust a weak tea. Weak teas that are put through wet storage will come out empty and hollow and will struggle to develop any meaningful age characteristics. There is a wide range of quality in this category of tea.

    • Thank you Varat. I am just about to enjoy the remainder of this sample this week. What you say about potency makes a lot of sense. I appreciate you chiming in!

Ps. Thank you also for the souvenir neifei you left for me.
