1985 Fujian Tieguanyin — TeaDB James InBetweenIsode Episode #78

An aged oolong taken from the mysterious box. Episode includes lots of thoughts on the aged oolong genre in general.. The tea itself is clean, tasty and enjoyable.

  1. Hey James,

We’ll give you a by on the unavailable tea since its an inbetweenisode. Ha, seriously though, your thoughts on the tea are way more important for a regular viewer, the type that would comment, than anyone else. Your show is an education, which is important. Most of us won’t have the sheer variety or access to the majority of teas that you come across, so the regular viewer USUALLY sees a tea that he or she won’t own and probably won’t get a chance to own. I think spot viewers and googling and searching and watching what they are drinking / what they intend to buy, so they aren’t going to be watching this episode anyhow.

For the rest of us, as I said, your show comes as an education. Your ramblings are exactly why we watch, you clearly know what you are talking about and are in your element. Good job, thanks as always!

  2. You mentioned Teaurchin specializes mainly in the Yiwu area. I’ve read and heard from other experienced tea-drinkers that tea trees in the greater Xishuangbanna region are suffering from overharvesting–leading to weaker, less potent tea leaves. What are your thoughts on this?

And thanks for another great video!
