neat review! Is this oolong the cheaper one we found in the shop near Dihua st.?
I think that this video also is a good counterpoint to MarshalN’s recent blog post about the increasing scarcity of good quality, well-priced aged oolong. Like all white label stuff you have to trust your nose and tongue alot more, but once you know the warning signs (sourness, moldiness, death-roastiness etc.) it’s easy to avoid the low grade stuff and focus on more quality material. Easier than puerh in some ways.
There’s still good stuff selling for reasonable prices out there for those who are willing to look!
Everything I said in that post also needs to be contextualized re: comparing to what I was able to find 10 years ago.
