  1. Wow, a dynamic session indeed! I really enjoy seeing several steeps of an aged tea. Last year on puercn I read that aged white tea is expected to be the next “big thing” in the collector market.

    • Hi Cwyn,

Thanks for the comment. I’ve heard similar stuff. I guess we’ll eventually find out how it does.

      Cheers!

  2. Thanks guys
Really interesting. I have seen a number of vendors offer something they call ‘white moon’ pu erh….which as far as I can tell is very much like ‘normal’ pu erh except that only buds are used and it would appear that the buds are withered (in darkness, rather than dried in the sun) and not pan fried to ‘kill green’. I am really guessing about all of this. Do you or any of the blog readers have any insight to offer about this style of tea? I tried white moon once and really enjoyed it. It reminded me of a hong cha surprisingly.

    • Hi John,

Thanks for the comment. I don’t have too much insight on it. I have heard that these white pu’erhs will do pretty well for ~10 years and then fall of. Their track record certainly isn’t as long and dense as pu’erh or even some oolongs. Take all of this with a serious grain of salt as I haven’t done much research and could be off-point!

      Cheers,
      -James

  3. Hi Guys,
Really like what you do for tea lovers! Just let you know that “the Shang Tea’s 2007 White Tea” you reviewed years ago is the most expensive white tea now in China (40,000 Yuan per brick -350g ). This tea was made by the most famous White Tea Master Mr. Fang. I would like to send you a few pictures of this tea brick if you are interested to see it.
If you guys still like good white tea I can send one more white tea for you to try, 2019 Silver Needle Peony (about 50% tea buds with a young leaves when picked)

    Cheers,

    Shang
    Owner of Shang Tea,
